A common, yet extremely retarded take. nostr: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
I can get that he wants to make some specific point about a particular instance he has observed, but he makes it a vague universal instead and hints that regular users should keep silent. I wrote a response attempting to nuance the matter. nostr:nevent1qqsyduv6v5d6cswhk2qm43wexygft8ze98m77jee8ncuw0elsz5qx4qpz4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezummcw3ezuer9wchsygpr6jfegcf9s4cxcu5s3f0rjp8e29m75zrmqvkahlxjsc3sf37esvpsgqqqqqqsm74sxu
Yep, I saw your reply, that's why I got to see the original note. He turned a simple matter of "be polite" into a stupid statement that basically equates "let's go back to the Paleolithic when everybody had to do everything".
I don’t think regular users should be silent (what is a regular user anyways?) I just said try to code and then see how you feel about critiquing the devs. I wasn’t saying be polite either. If someone wants to critique the devs, they can. They don’t have to try to code first either, just an idea I noted. I just think that if more people tried to build stuff it would be better for all of Nostr.
It sounded as if people who are not programmers shouldn't voice feedback Yet, even among programmers, some are jovial and others are pedantic, so I think the matter boils down to exercising a constructive problem-solving spirit, both programmers and non-programmees alike.🙃
I can see why my comment read that way. You said it perfectly in this comment about exercising a constructive problem-solving spirit. More empathy and positivity in the feedback loop would be great. Maybe it should have just been a “be polite” note after all.
No harm done, we all draw assumptions and we often don't have time to write an essay for every subject so there's always a number of possible interpretations.🫠
