I’m displeased with the Russell Brand/Rumble CEO conversation at the Bitcoin conference.

It’s troubling to hear Brand speak about Rumble as if it’s decentralized and for him to compare it to Bitcoin. I’m open to changing my mind if anyone has thoughts.
 Yeah, man needs purple pilled
In my experience, most people who have left YouTube for Rumble do it for a right-leaning rather than left-leaning video provider.

Brand knows his current audience.
Brand is a numpty imo. A well meaning numpty but one none the less.

Granted, I haven't listened to a speech, but I'm assuming he's just under-informed or has the wrong information about these kind of topics. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Rumble is a competitor to Youtube that has had a de facto monopoly the space. When a real alternative pops up, this means that a decentralisation has taken place. It is not particularly hard to understand
I’m talking about decentralized technology vs centralized platforms. It is not particularly hard to understand the difference.
So what is the problem then? There is a word spelled PRAGMATISM, that is useful, just saying
Oh gosh I thought Russell was great.

Very humble and willing to learn more I think.

Rumble is doing a good job and will hopefully integrate with Nostr in future. They are building out real storage servers with their business and that infrastructure is important to have outside Google’s control.

I believe Russell Brand is an important voice for liberty and a crucial tool for salvaging what’s left of the (Anti-Authoritarian) “Liberal” mindscape.
He knows where his bread is buttered.
I think he is generally a good dude, but I actually think he is slow to understand certain concepts. I think he would listen to the right person.
I cannot take anybody seriously who pivots180° at the drop of a hat (or a fat paycheck)… https://youtu.be/eo4gIihETu8
Look at the incentives. Does he benefit in anyway by saying something so blatantly false? Is it ignorance or malice?
Now do that exercise for privacy.
