 The thing that I believe they’re doing well is humanizing an experience of bitcoin in a simple and elegant way. I also really dig the “Family” concept of having a few people with vault access. 

Unsure about open source and I don’t know much about the company. Good questions tho.

 Multi-Party ECDSA protocols (ie multisig but it just looks like a single signature on chain) have a long history of being broken. Much, much prefer direct on-chain multisig or FROST.

I love nostr and this seems like nostr forum in content if not form. 

Certainly built around status. Margins are no doubt large and if they catch a wave will enjoy an enviable valuation for some time. Employees hired off the raise will be forced to maintain the inflated valuation and in doing so will sell their customers out feature by feature.
