 Meh. They can use a VPN. This is far better than what Elon did with Twitter in Turkey. They can either comply or do this. It's a centralized company. Those are the only two options I know of, and they chose the more principled of the two (and least harmful).

 It isn't, but that doesn't have anything to do with the reality of the current problem. It won't matter until there is a viable alternative to things like YouTube and Rumble. Rumble picked the best of the only two options they really have given what they are.

 For comparison, Elon chose to censor political opponents on behalf of a dictator to avoid doing what Rumble did, which is far worse and can't just be circumvented with a VPN. It was an entire election at stake. Both suck, but one is clearly better in the context of the variables.

 That same thing happened here in Brazil as well on twitter before and after Elon. The 2022 election here was ridiculously biased towards one side. I don’t think there’s an easy way to “solve” that as most people won’t use Nostr and descentralized platforms. Not even Odysse is an option for most Brazilians. And, in the end, we are a poor country. VPN is not an option for the masses. Most users here don’t even know that it is.
