Switching back to day shift after 2.5 years of night shift really sucks (I never flipped back and forth, even during my off time). It's amazing how many systems are affected by sleep patterns. My digestive system is even chaotic.
The feeling reminds me of quickly reversing the stir direction in a pot of water.
Have you tried Melatonine?
I don't have issues sleeping. My body just doesn't feel like it slept and still wants to sleep during the day. There's really no way to avoid the shock. Just takes a bit to adjust. It took me about a month to fully adjust when I did this in the past. Certainly not as easy now that I'm older lol
It’s not your first time 😎 …sounds pretty hard. I remember reading about athletes adjusting things when they must perform in different countries but your situation is definitely something different
The difference is that I didn't do it for almost three years straight the last time. And I'm older 😂
I’m thinking about applying for night shifts 😂 might not have been my best idea after all
It's fine if you don't try to flip back and forth on your off days. I'd be fine with it if I wasn't married.
