A hypothetical U.S. Civil War in 2024 would likely be fueled by deep political, social, and economic divisions, exacerbated by misinformation and social media. Armed factions could emerge, representing ideological extremes, leading to urban and rural confrontations. Technology would play a crucial role, with drones and cyber warfare altering traditional combat dynamics. Major cities might become battlegrounds, while rural areas could witness guerrilla tactics. The governmentโs response would include national guard mobilizations and possible federal crackdowns. Humanitarian crises would arise as populations are displaced, with global ramifications as allies and enemies align based on ideological loyalties.

what's more concerning is the influx of people from the border who weren't monitored or checked and whatever they've been able to bring across the border. This could be used in conjunction with/ or worsening what you mention. If happens the ability to capitalize off the chaos/ discord would be hard to pass up on I would think
We're already witnessing the issues with social, political, and economic divisions in wealthier countries. I can only hope that that's as far it'll ever go. Cities will, most likely, see a decrease in population growth as people begin to flee to more rural areas. An increase in homelessness will come about at some point. I don't think the U.S. will see too much open-street violence, though. Although, crime rates will spike. Yes, the national guard will probably be mobilized eventually, but mainly to protect state-owned assets.
