You cannot delete actions on Nostr (text, likes etc). What is your opinion on this? Let's talk about it.
I don't like it, take it as necessary evil. On Twitter I used to clean my timeline backwards a LOT. Like keeping it altogether under 1000 tweets after years of use.
It might help people think a second about what they say. So I think that’s good.
This is honestly the only positive side 😊 although a mistake by a social media manager could lead to serious consequences
Let them think a little too. I think it would be very beneficial if there are consequences to what you say on here, like there are in real life. I can’t shout at my neighbor and undo it. I can’t send out a marketing letter and undo it.
"A game of chess is like a sword fight. You must think first, before you move" Apart from my faible for Wu-Tang, I would say that it encourages the writing of well worded letters, preferably without the help of AI. Like when soldiers that were away for months try to convey their deepest thoughts to their loved ones in a concise way since this might be the last chance to do it. So you need to write @rikki6ixx some goofy jokes^^
Feature not a bug imo. Knowing your notes are "forever" forces you to think abt what you're putting out there. Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequence. When people are more cognizant of what they broadcast out into the world, they tend to think twice and consider the consequences. This in turn creates a more civil online society. Just like irl, once you say something out loud you can't undo it. This builds verifiable reputation and your actions follow your identity forever. Creates accountability and helps reduce toxicity. Brings back natural human interaction to the online world.
Thank you for your feedback. This fascinates me. Hopefully, people will take social networking more seriously
it repels the liars. 👌
That’s a positive point in the content being unchangeable after posted. 👍🏻
If it’s your content you should be able to change or even delete it. No?
I agree, this way there are more people who think before saying something, less trolls and less fake news
