 Why is it that the chores I think won’t take long to do always take longer and the chores that I think will take a long time always take less time to do?

Yep I get it. 
Like that Martha Stuart recipe I made this week took so much longer than I expected. 
I’ve taken over cleaning the 5 cat boxes on my rolling stool, I thought it was going to be a real hassle, finished in minutes
