do you get an error? i did test this and it worked fine by hooking up a shared directory of my Mac.
 i just followed this guide:
https://docs.start9.com/0.3.5.x/user-manual/backups/backup-create
Yes I am getting several errors cause I tried pretty everything
tell us the errors.. did you manage to mount the drive? maybe nostr:nprofile1qqs9df4h2deu3aae83fmet5xmrlm4w5l9gdnsy3q2n7dklem7ezmwfcpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq5xamn8ghj7dnvv45xs7tywde8g6rpvakkjuekw46nvar4vdhxgan6wumkxatzwpckk6rk0puhjdm2da5k7ce5x4kkkumjx3jkzepwdahxjmmwqyt8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wd9hxvmckqw0xz can chime in
It depends what I am trying but in generally the main error is:
RPC error. Filesystem I/O Error Mount error (13). Permission denied Rederbto the kunt.cofs(8) manual page(e.g. mount.cifs) and kernel log messages(dmesg)

you're connecting to a mac? you need to add the user/pass and give acces to the folder on your mac.
 Windows.
I am doing the hole procedure but cannot continue. The error remains
oh no clue about that, i avoid Windows
maybe try with a usb stick
 Yes...better 😂🤕

I will check it tommorow again.

Thanks for trying to help.
Have a nice day or evening
