Today is the first post to Nostr. It is also the first purchase using sats. And it marks the first year of owning bitcoin. 

A year ago I bought $250 of bitcoin on Coinbase. Since then I have 
-Moved to a Bitcoin only exchange 
-Changed from Ledger to a Bitcoin only wallet using Sparrow
-Purchased a Start9 server
-Run a BTC node
-Run a lightning node connected to Zues
-Purchased produce from a local farmer using lightning. Northern Bay Organics in Penobscot Maine
-Made bitcoin my largest asset holding
-Executed a speculative attack on the USD by taking out a small mortgage on my house and buying bitcoin. Required raising my friends rent from insanely cheap to that’s still damn cheap
-Joined Nostr
-Attended a small, local bitcoin conference
-Became a bitcoin maximalist

Lots of credit to the YouTube Bitcoin channels for helping normies catch up on all things bitcoin. @BitcoinUniversity , @Simply Bitcoin, @LynAlden and Natalie Brunell have been amazing. That said, everyone who creates bitcoin content, please keep it up!  Your message does make it through!
