 Hi! I'm looking to buy a refurbish mini pc to run a bitcoin node, maybe a lightning node later. 

Many recommend umbrel for newbies, I've also seen that umbrel can be a pain to update and keep running. 
Startos is a better alternative right? 

 I’ve been using umbrel for the last year, but I’m switching to Start9 in the near future. Umbrel has been inconsistent in my experience. 

 I started with MyNode and then Umbrel and landed on Start9, the best one by far, never looking back. 

 Yes, Umbrel is a huge PITA

 Oh nice! My bitaxe is just a but to noisy to have in the livingroom. Thinking of swapping fan for a better one. AND pre order the Braiins mini miner. 

 If you buy noctua fan you should be good. I had same problem with my old raspberry and changed a fan for noctua one and was good to go
