 You don't see the whole picture. 

- When I need a doctor or a surgeon ,I don't get myself into debt because of that. It's free. 

- Education is also free

- we do have some social security and if you are not ashamed to ask for help in hard times (most people are ashamed btw), everything will work out well in the end.

- cops are way more educated and they know when to pull a trigger. 

- prisons are rehabilitation centers not a business. 

- workers have way more rights then in the US.

In US everything is a business not like EU where people can still enjoy social security and free (to some degree) healthcare.

That's all priced in taxes.

Of course there are pluses and minuses but I don't think I could live debt free in the US with my lifestyle šŸ«£
