 @38b212c6 @a6ff0b2b I opened about 400 TextEdit windows on my M1 MacBook Air with 8GB of RAM (not all of them were visible as the windows were overlapping in numerous layers) and couldn’t reproduce the bug. This with single user logged in and built-in trackpad and MacOS Sonoma.

 @a6ff0b2b I managed to reproduce it with around 200 windows with second user. Will try with BT mouse next, I don’t have a wired mouse 😬

Would it make sense to compile statistics on when this problem appears in various configurations?
