That seems like what needs to happen. Even in a "market place of ideas" and open debate, the "best ideas" don't always win when it's advocates suck or the public is too brainwashed. How ideas really survive is by getting power and using it.

Getting blocked is tolerable, the ban button with vague rules behind it is the bigger problem.
