It's one of the largest currencies in the world, now; nearly the same size as the Swiss Franc. It is quickly moving into place to become the largest reserve asset after gold and US treasuries, and the LN network is eating away at all other financial networks.

 No, it's always been number one. It's just not used as much, as the others, outside of the country. But there are over 1,4 billion Chinese people using it.

For international trade, it's lagging behind, at fourth in the list, behind the USD, Euro, and GBP.
