I just love Common Moorhens, their beaks are so colourful and unique! They tend to be pretty shy around here, but this one allowed me to take some photos of it whilst it was chilling on some grass.

They were a candidate for the German Bird of the Year 2023, but they, unfortunately, lost against the Whinchat.
