On the subject of "self doxxing"... I struggle to know what I should or shouldn't share... I mean I am a nobody that anyone would be interested in, so I guess as a low priority individual i can probably safely share my local surroundings? How easy would it be for someone to figure out who i am from photo's i might occasionally share? #asknostr #privacy #anon
Your privacy is invaluable and once exposed very hard to regain.
That is the reality i struggle with 😅 I would often like to share photo's or deeply personal informations, for the stake of the story. But at the same time i deeply value my privacy... I guess privacy wins🤷🏻♂️😅
Close ups only, stripped of all exif data & nothing unique that can be seen from outside.
Yes. It sounds like a lot of work... I think i'll just keep things seudonymous 🤣
Very easy, for example, folks at belingcat do it all the time.
Why should you share? What's in it for you? What do you have to lose if doxxed? Maybe start by answering those questions to yourself.
I only have to share a human story, which i believe is mildly above average in interest... and therfore maybe interesting to others... but maybe i'm wrong... 🤷🏻♂️ not really anything in it for me, but if there is anything in it for anyone else then i would want to share, that's part of the human experience right? I suppose the thing i'm concerned about doxxing is the $5 wrench attack 😅 but ultimately that in itself would be pretty futile due to my pauper status... 🤣🤷🏻♂️
