Looking at the eclipse map, the shadow goes right over Monument Valley which will be saturated with tourists, no doubt. Also goes over Chaco Canyon, which will likely also be a zoo. Shiprock could be an amazing photo op, but unless you have permission from tribal members, you'd have to stay on the road to the NW. The wackiest place will probably be Roswell, NM. I hadn't paid attention to the fact that Roswell will be near the center of totality.
I'm seriously tempted to go there just for the human zoo of alien watchers that will inevitably descend on the place.
How do #FlatEarth people explain solar or lunar eclipses?
#eclipse
@ad39b1fd in the flat Earth cosmology solar eclipses are more or less what you would expect them to be. However, lunar eclipses are due to the "shadow object," which is a mystery body that occasionally obscures the moon.

Okay, thanks 😂
But...so...in their universe, the moon still revolves around the earth? Is the moon round? Is the sun round? I'm so confused.
@ad39b1fd only the Earth is flat, the sun and moon are round, and celestial bodies orbit each other much like they do in reality. Earth is a pancake , tho.
There's a cool free app called Totality Big Kid Science for iOS that's good for planning where to be for good #eclipse viewing.
if we are in a dome or bio sim, the seasons, time, etc would all be set by who/whatever set up the sun to go around our reality/world. 👍
