@98f40d15 @3967703f right? there's so much hubris and stupidity baked right into individualism as a whole (that probably all of us have bought into at times). It says: if we just follow our (thoroughly enculturated) ideas of creativity and bliss, and pretend/believe these notions are "human nature," everything will be fine. In this mindset, thinking about larger implications never even crosses our minds, so it's really appealing. But it's at a child's level of egocentricity.
