Over time, I am learning that in painting, it is not always necessary to include too many precise details. In fact, the beauty of art often lies in its simplicity and the ability to evoke rather than meticulously describe. When a painter chooses not to define every single element, they leave room for the viewer's imagination. This approach allows the observer to become a co-creator of the artwork, filling in with their own perception and sensitivity what is only hinted at on the canvas.

Each suggested brushstroke can hold a multitude of meanings, shifting depending on the individual and their experiences. An undefined shadow can transform into countless different scenarios, depending on who is looking at it. It is in this interaction between the artist and the audience that the artwork becomes alive—not just a static object, but a dynamic, personal experience.

This realization, that every visual detail doesn’t need to be controlled, leads to a freer and more spontaneous form of painting, where the power of imagination plays a crucial role in completing what the artist has intentionally left unresolved.
