One can just as easily argue that "custodial solutions" are low time preference behavior
Sure, but I expect to empty my zappi g wallet every month. I don't keep my retirement money in a custodial wallet, just the money I intend to spend that month.
Can't a Monero/Bitcoin user just say the same thing? "I don't keep my retirement money in Monero, just the money I intend to spend that month" They can even completely avoid the potential 100% loss from being rugged Btw I think ecash has it's own advantages over Monero and vice versa. I use both.
Monero is a shitcoin. I don’t use shitcoins. The transactional solutions are arriving to the Bitcoin stack which has a verifiable fixed supply. It’s the only money I care to use.
"The transactional solutions are arriving to the Bitcoin stack which has a verifiable fixed supply." This is about Ecash vs Monero, sir, and last I checked Ecash doesn't even pretend to have a verifiable fixed supply. Mint has the centralized ability of printing unbacked tokens form thin air (at least Monero requires PoW and anyone can participate in issuance) "It’s the only money I care to use." Why cloak yourself behind half-baked arguments then? Just say that from the start
ECash uses Bitcoin. Bitcoin has a fixed supply.
Ecash can trivially be fashioned to work with any crypto (send mint crypto, dispense tokens). It's not exclusive to Bitcoin. There is already a Bitcoiner developing Monero Ecash and a bounty for it. Doesn't matter. A mint can covertly print as many tokens as they want. Bitcoins fixed supply doesn't limit that in any way. https://njump.me/nevent1qvzqqqqqqypzqmajvcqjcvqgxql9ftj4zs95d9t7n9uqnpqpmk357nvjrgn4h79mqyw8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnsdae8getddahx2un09e3k7mf0qyd8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnndp5hgen0wf3k2tn0dejj7qpqqeraqwjgqv7an4l28pz4wtwvxeg4swrwyx7gmat7k45gfsysdggstfxxdq
Malicious mints aside. The mints who want to last long-term uphold Bitcoin’s fixed supply.
if you're really able to believe such a ridiculous idea than what use is proof of work at all?
Oh noooo .01% of my stack goes in a trusted ECash mint that offers instant asynchronous fully anon payments boooo. Worry about your own money

Lightning is literally composed of P2P channels between bitcoin users. I don't think it's a bad solution compared to onchain-only.
I know. I uploaded it for the "be your own bank" part. I didn't create the meme, but it's mostly accurate.
Go back to X I'm not scrolling up to find out what you posted this in reply to
Ok reply guy, enjoy my mute list.
Go back to X I have no feelings about your mute list, faggot
people are suggesting for DNMs with millions in volume to do their business inside ruggabe ecash mints, and that ecash mints will eclipse monero completely. please stop pretending this advocacy is confined to pocket change. and we both know the whole point of L2 scaling is to inherit security from L1 and execute transactions somewhere else. you toss the security from L1 into the garbage bin the moment you put one toe into an ecash mint. the developers are retarded and need to go back and come up with something better.
Things like ECash (and Lightning) ruin the fixed supply of Bitcoin.
No facts allowed. You know the routine. https://image.nostr.build/09d88e2d2e4c21e2e55852f3ddcf12e923a94bbc11a00966e7bee32545d08ce3.jpg
