gm NOSTR! I'm looking for some ideas to let loose on for new 60-second shorts explaining Bitcoin or NOSTR 101. Less technical, more conceptual / debunking FUD. What would you like to see? What concepts about Bitcoin or NOSTR need to be explained better in a fast way? If I like it and haven't made it already, zaps will come your way ⚡

"Dont pay taxes while living off bitcoin" Living in a state with no LT cap gains + being married + having no income besides living off bitcoin = you can sell >100k and be liable for $0 in taxes.
This is good but need to broaden it outside just a US lens (especially since I am Canadian). Maybe more like borrowing against your Bitcoin = no taxes?
👎 borrowing is fiat.
so is paying taxes...
Reread my proposed title 😏
"If youre not willing to spend Bitcoin, you're short Bitcoin." You have 3 buckets of income allotment: fixed costs, variable costs, investment/savings. If youre willing to spend bitcoin you can hold your investment and variable buckets in bitcoin. If not, you only have investment.
We're not the ones to ask... We're too far down the rabbit hole and can't see the entrance anymore. Maybe man on the street style asking nocoiners and NONstriches (I just coined that term, maybe?) what they want to know and answering them on the spot.
GM! Comparing Nostr to existing centralized social media platforms needs to stop. Being able to log in to different Nostr apps is incredible. Nostr is so much more than social media; it’s an entire global ecosystem where everyone can have a bank account and exchange the hardest money in the world. Your contacts are always with you, wherever you go. Another important topic…too many people are unconsciously dependent on algorithms. They don’t realize how much they are being manipulated. As Dorsey once mentioned, there is no free will on centralized social media. Nostr is detoxifying. Being your own discovery mechanism is exciting and empowering. Adopting Nostr is a big step toward not becoming an NPC product. #freewill
My go to explanation now is that Bitcoin is simply a 2 column database with characteristics that make people use it *like* money. And then I go off on those characteristics, pull the thread on what money is (how can a database be money? what characteristics are better? etc)
there is a lot of FUD with respect to "is bitcoin or nostr really safe. cant just some come and steal it? well, maybe a little bit history and usage outside of bitcoin and nostr: public/private keys when, where, and how used (on a regular basis [even besides btc and nostr])? why its secure? why even in the future secure (quantum bla bla)? and what would really happen if it got hacked. thanks for your work
This may be a bit technical, but explaining how to receive and send zaps would be great. It took me a while to wrap my head around these TWO DIFFERENT things. It helped when I finally understood that it doesn't even have to be the same wallet...
Fala sobre a segunda camada do Bitcoin a lighting e a capacidade de substituir as fiats nas transações.
ooh I like this one. Or how to identify and not fall for those ATM scams
