 @7bcc0e3c What does this even mean. Would the better path having been picking the greater of two evils, perhaps alternating? I think they might mean having no options for generations leads to successively worse options (?)

 I think it means there are great options we aren’t choosing while instead letting the “2 party system” choose our options.

 Voting gives legitimacy to the clown-show of market-interfering diletants in public institutions. There is no lesser evil as by definition their tasks are of socialist nature. 

It's also not a meaningless act, else the media and political class wouldn't be bothering with promoting it as aggressively. It doesn't mather who you think you select, but that you go through the ritual itself, strenghtening the parasites' grip over your own fate.

In essence it's a coping mechanism for the blind, postponing tar&feathering and the guillotines every four years.
