Have a Cyberpunk book where data from the implants is stored in the DNA of the user, maybe? I don’t know, just thought about it and don’t know if it’s a thing yet.
it's possible, first thing that comes to mind tho is how horribly that can go wrong

Johnny Mnemonic was a film about this but it wasn't DNA it was John Wick's brain
