It is very concerning how hard it is for people to get travel visa's to come to @TABConf. It's also concerning how many non Americans I met that don't want to travel to the US even if they could get a travel visa because of safety and security. My eyes have been opened this year on just how bad this is. If this doesn't eventually get better I'm going to have rethink a few things about TABConf.
Lots of good computer people I know don't travel to the US (or even transfer via US) because of safety issues. It's not worth the risk.
where would you say is ideal?
Whole separate world of bitcoiners outside of US that will never get (American mainstream) spotlight because of this too
where would you say is ideal?
I like the approach of fulmo and nostr unconfs, where they simply rotate across the globe. That way you can reach the widest diverse audience and speakers.
would you be open to helping organize the locations and venues?
Would have said yes few years back but got too much cooking in the shadows now š
I was wondering why they called you Cooking Kukks
It feels like Iām being treated like a criminal any time I interact with US administrations.
