one year I had a goal of just getting back into electronics,
so every weekend I'd make a goal of doing a short project, could be as simple as getting a led light to blink on an arduino. and had to finish it by weekend over.
just set the endorphins on fire. was addictive enough to make me come back for a little bit more each time. :D
i can never really stick to a simple electronics project, it always starts with a simple idea and at some point up end up at something like "let's make a FPGA implementation of secp256k1" and then i lose focus lol
I start breaking out KiCad and designing boards. Then I'm like yeah lets make it all surface mount. Oh and needs a power supply, lets make one of those, and so on
KiCad is cool, something that i still intend to learn some day 😀 i've never designed my own boards, just used microcontroller/fpga dev boards and PMODs breadboards and such
I probably have more fun than I should designing boards XD. I get to sperg out and create satisfying connections and layouts.
