I won't create them by default but I will still support receiving them. I don't like the idea of missed DMs. some OTP systems still use it and may for while 

 I fear that if we don't drop it, this thing is never gonna go away. 

Shall we just not send NIP-04 DMs ever? We can still show them for now.  

 I’m just never going to send them unless you’re replying to one, and have big warning signs in that case
