It used to chug along. Idk what he did, some async future stuff or just better code but it is hella nice now.

Probably async stuff I guess with UI fillers.

 It will even get better after Nostrdb. That will solve lot of problems, much better experience

 It is a local database specifically designed for nostr applications, it uses strfry technology, same as most of the advanced relays are using.
