I could've had the best excuses not to live my dreams. 😅 In 2009 I escaped violence with two little kids. My youngest, a few months old. My oldest not yet two. I could've given up on my dreams. I had nothing. I was a broke mama with two kids. But I dreamed anyway. I never let my reality get in the way of what I really desired in my life. Within a year and a half of freeing myself, I moved into a house by the name of Paradise View. It was in a tiny village in the Bay of Islands New Zealand. It was my paradise for a year while I rebuilt myself. I got to go on boat rides to the islands and watch dolphins play. 🤩 Never let your circumstances stop you from your dreams. You can always achieve more than you realise if you can push through the limitations your brain comes up with. 💯 Photo: taken from my bedroom at Paradise View in 2010 😍 https://image.nostr.build/189b9025ee6d22137658b51c6152a636433fda6bce16901521b56022f26e5067.jpg
Impressive, Melissa. 💪🏻
Thanks Thomas 🙏 It's probably why I get a bit triggered when people rattle off excuses 😂🤣😁
Understand 👍🏻
Beautiful ❤️👏 congratulations! PoW, indeed. Our life is in our hands, if we want we can achieve a lot.
Thanks 🙏 and yes. We just need to take ownership of our lives and start driving it in the direction of our dreams. Sometimes it takes a bit longer than we would like, but the challenges are there for a reason. Like a test I think! It's not always easy but it is always worth it 🤩
Wow! Amazing. 💯🫂 Paradise View. 💜 Just over 10 years ago, with a group of people, I helped my now wife escape from a truly terrible situation, along with a 3 year old daughter. She got set up in her own place for the first time in her life, and proved to herself how strong she was. Especially important as she was continually put down throughout her life until that time. She lived on her own for about 18 months before choosing to live with me. 🥰
The best! Yes, in some ways these 'terrible' experiences are actually blessings. I totally resonate with proving how strong we are through these moments. I'm always grateful for those hard times that helped me become the person I am today 💯🙌
Well done ! Proud of you ! 😃💜🙌 Keep moving forward, we are what we do ! 😃💜😃
