I slaughtered two Duroc pigs for a local farmer this morning. Both kills were clean and the job took me about four hours from arrival on the farm to departure after cleaning the site. The first of the two was eager to go and presented me with several good shots before I finally took one. My preferred shot is behind the ear, aiming roughly for the opposite eyeball, but I took the between-the-eyes shot on both pigs today. The farmer helped me move the carcass with a tractor over to his gantry crane set up with a heavy duty wench. I skinned and eviscerated the pig and put her entrails, hide and head in a bin to be disposed of later. Repeat the process for the second, only it didn't want me to come near and tried to hide out in the mud, but that's no big deal, I cleaned the hide before I started working. For payment, the farmer loaded me up with all kinds of fresh food, mackeral, sardines, tuna, sea bass, octopus, sausage, bacon, lamp chops, chicken, and more.
