To truly know their selves. Once they do they wouldn’t care to murder anyone/thing. 

 Of all the squirrels to kill, they kill the one everyone loves 

 I saw one news article where the state claimed that the squirrel had bitten someone. Not substantiated by any other source I could find. 😡

 So, they raid dudes house to rescue a squirrel he already rescued and had for 7+ years, only to kill it couple hours later?  Now that's a proper definition of government success XD 

 "To test for rabies, both animals were euthanized." o wow, it wasn't even because of the biting ... After 7 years, they kill your animal to "test it" ... wtf :/
