All countries were founded on looting. Over time they get good, get out of that game, or get rekt.

The fact to IDF is so wildly incompetent at organised military coercion despite tens of billions in Western handouts indeed surprises me.

The way our government behaves like blackmailed paedophiles whenever around them only disappoints... 

 The government is basically bought, the congress is bought. No wonder they are kissing their asses. 

 Truth, but I think its more comprehensive than merely "bought". 

Bought, blackmailed, threatened, and then kept busy and "gate-kept" against unsupportive facts and persons. Its done carelessly, unimaginatively and inefficiently, but the sum is much greater than the parts.
