The "roads" of nostr are the relays.  The relay operators are the silent heroes of nostr.   Without the relays there would be no nostr.  They are not supported.  They are taken for granted.  And in fact they are often abused.  The consequence is that relays are dropping off.  It's a double loss because not only is the relay lost, but also a talented developer sacrificing their time.  Its always a kick in the teeth when the grow nostr crowd joke about the roads, when the real roads of nostr are the relays, and are sadly not supported at all.
