Some people have troubling understanding this, but it was #Russia that invaded #Ukraine, not the other way around. And, no, Ukraine did not provoke Russia.
Right, instead it was NATO that provoked Russia repeatedly first by overthrowing the democratically elected government of Ukraine through their Nazi assets in the country causing eastern Ukraine to declare independence since they didn't want to be ruled by Nazis that burned a bunch of Russian speakers alive in a Union Hall so the Nazi government of Ukraine started bombing them killing over 15000 civilians over 8 years. NATO kept also dangling NATO membership in front of Ukraine which is a hard red line for Russia. The US promised at the end of the cold war that NATO would not expand one inch east. Instead NATO has expanded dramatically right up to their border. So yes... Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022 but you left out a LOT of context.
