Also, #Damus is no comparison to #Amethyst @Vitor Pamplona . Just like iOS overall is a joke compared to Android. I am not partisan, I use both for many years in parallel for various reasons, it is a fact. If you, iPhone users, allowed yourself a thought that it is not important what shape the buttons are, and tried Android seriously, you would never go back. Unless, of course, you use it only for what gov. wants you to use it for while being dumb: gmail, cnn, whatsapp, apple music. Then you would see no difference except the shapes of the buttons, except, even then, keybords are not even close with gboard or numerous open source ones being absolute winners. nostr:nevent1qqs0t20p7n93ww53s0wtvg0g505yzrkrkn28e05secpu47k9p0krwxqpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqzyrr7mfnq567gyuznp6ptffm39tx75t33ms99d7xuj4dvqz00m97gvqcyqqqqqqghsuuks
I use linux, mac, ios, and android. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. Apple is much more cohesive with their hardware and continuity framework. Love my hand-built nixos desktop environment for dev. Fuck windows though.
The last possible windows was windows 7. It requires a good knowledge of the previous windows and dos to remove all the shit from it. The only pro of windows was usability and professional software compatibility. 10 and 11 are designed for dumb users and linux is way better
I find these debates silly. I will say there is nothing about Android that makes it better than iOS. In general you will find apps you wish you had on Android but very rarely the other way around. Apple has some core tech that Android can’t touch. Examples would be shortcuts, iMessage, notes, encryption, reminders, Siri (yes Siri), consistent ui and many others.
