ok, i've posted too much now

time to go back to my shell and act all mysterious
Been studying laws of power? 😏
more interested in laws of meower

haven't read it though, worth?
I haven’t read the book, just summaries of each. Many are definitely true.
yeah, keep the supply low, demand high, value your own time, don't give out unasked advice for free etc

is what i'm expecting the book to be about
Yep. Some are shady and funny but a lot of stuff is true like surrounding yourself with positive influence and avoiding negative people.
 Oh yeah, for sure

Think I've discussed these kinds of tips and tricks with my friends too, whether is it manipulation or not, or is everything manipulation, whether accidentally or intentionally
it's also why i'm not gonna bother shouting user testing bugs and ideas at mass, i value my ideas and time highly enough for that
 Hehe, now you’re getting it.

People don’t value free. Even when something is free they find a reason to complain.
yes, think jordan peterson had a piece on this exact topic, which i tended to agree with

people value things with price higher, and think that there's something wrong with the cheaper and even free product

it's dumb, but it's how our psychology works
Yep. Especially if you want people to act on advice. If you give it for free they’re likely to disregard it. But if you charge where it’s an uncomfortable number; they’ll implement your advice in a hurry.
 Funny how humans work

Love learning about user behaviour as such, more so than even the interface part
Behavioral economics and psychology are some of the most fascinating things to study. They reveal a lot about human nature and deepen your understanding of the world. Highly recommend.
