Playing around with Coinbase lightning integration and just had to mention how insidious it is to use the term 'varies' for lightning as if it's not the cheapest option (unless you decide you want to wrap it for whatever reason)
The reason seems obvious to me that they clearly want to downplay its utility, speed, and affordability to prop up their useless Base ETH L2 🙄 (even though that would wrap it to cbbtc)
Its like they only begrudgingly integrated lightning. Man I really wish they would lean into it.

They are literally scam pushers. Therefore, they can be counted on to downplay honest money, as it offers them no way to grift.
Also it should say Bitcoin Lightning. Too easy to get that shit confused with the millions of shitcoins they’re peddling.

Well in this case once I executed on lightning it was in fact free
But just something as simple as “free-$.05” would be more clear how much better it is
Also something indicating it being instant should also be there imo (because it is obviously the fastest here)

LN costs are a function of bitcoin network costs, as we saw during the jegs frenzy. LN became unaffordable to the unbanked. Bitcoin network costs will keep rising as demand increases on a fixed commodity. Will LN make the grade ?
