 I think it's stupid to have a miner and a node all in one.

Like having a node in a fridge (a bit too far, but drives home the point)
 Why do you think it’s stupid to have an all-in-one node and miner as an option? If I could have my node built into my fridge to take advantage of better cooling while reducing power consumption and not losing any privacy or security, I would do that. Why is having options stupid?
 I say it's stupid because a miner and a node do very different things.

Node --> general computer
Miner --> specialized computer, that produces a lot of heat and noise.

That would be super silly. A computer inside a fridge will produce heat in a place where you want cold. It would be strictly less efficient.

Same
 nodes are required for miners, in order to get the block templates to hash grind

it makes more sense to have them as independent items because you can connect multiple miners to one node, the reverse relation does not hold
 I don't knowwwww
FutureBit sells the Apollo II as a Full Node + Miner or just the Miner that can hook up to a Full Node. I'm pretty sure it's not a bad idea to give people options and let them decide what's best for themselves. Or as you say, FutureBit is stupid.
 I say it's stupid for me, but people can find it amazing and buy it.
 it's just kinda stupid because of the storage requirements... i mean, can you mine from a pruned node tho? i guess if you can, ok, but otherwise it's over $100 plus the price of the computer itself, and when the network traffic is bad and the ordinals are spamming unless you set a bandwidth limit you will end up suffering (very very) occasionally missing mining a block because your network was so clogged with traffic that someone else's block squeezed past it
 #bitaxe doesn't produce a lot of heat and noise.
Far from that.
