They didn’t outsmart anyone. They simply have incumbency going for them, that’s it. In the long run they will fall because that incumbency will become a burden.
True. Outsmarted is not quite the right term. I sure feel frustratedly powerless when it comes to greasy boomer landlords, obstinate bureaucrats and smug thieving banks all of whom co-opt the media to bat for their team. Fuk em all.
