The age of 10x developer is over. Everyone is a 10x dev with a 1M token context LLM. Programming required a good degree of autism, and was boring. Not anymore. Look at what Gemini Pro can do. A high school kid will outperform you if he has access to it, and you don't. How will software development be done in the next 5 years? Even more dependent on funding than before. The barier of entry will be higher than ever, and most devs will lose their jobs. To remain relevant, new devs will need to specialize: cryptography, microcontrollers, game engines, and neural net development (ironically).
