What's under the hood? Minibits now uses native implementations for cryptographic functions instead of JavaScript. The time to convert mnemonic phrase to seed has been reduced from 8 seconds to less than 100ms, offering a boost in performance when recovering wallet address or funds. The main wallet screen has been redesigned to include fiat exchange rates and an overview of NWC limits. Theme support with a brand-new Golden theme You can now switch themes in the Settings, with the new Golden theme as an option. Minibits has improved the reliability and performance of local ecash storage, especially for wallets with a large number of ecash notes (thousands). This update ensures a more resilient and efficient experience.
Of course nothing is perfect: due to heavy migrations on first run the upgrade, your wallet might show zero balance after. Please do not panic, ecash safu, just do simple restart and balance will refresh! In case you forgot: ecash much experimental, keep few sats only, notably before upgrade. Then enjoy seamless zaps and private transactions!
I'm still not able to zap. I get this message every time: https://pomf2.lain.la/f/592zp3o8.jpg I have refreshed the NWC credentials for zapping on amethyst. I also can't seem to send any amount via lightning to another lightning address.

Now it's more clear. When you try to send to a lightning address directly from the wallet, you should get transaction with error. Go to transaction detail and DM me the audit trail from the bottom of the screen. I'll then see exact error that we can sort out. After nwc will resume to work as well.
I had same signatures error, and resolved it via Settings -> Backup and Recovery -> Remove Spent Cash. You may get a warning about no spent cash found, but in fact will be able to zap afterwards. Hope that works for you.

Great release! This might be a bug, but when using the golden theme the text to write a memo when topping up a wallet has the same font color as the background making it almost invisible. I love the theme though!
What is this wallet?
Minibits is an ecash wallet fully interoperable with lightning. Ecash are digitally signed notes issued by mints, backed by bitcoin in mints lightning channels. Ecash has few nice properties like low friction onboarding, fast, private and mostly free transactions, working even offline as it is physically stored on device. Price paid for this is necessary trust to issuing mints that their ecash can be redeemed back for bitcoin on demand. Minibits wallet adds to that mix lightning addresses and good fit for nostr zaps giving and receiving including nostr wallet connect and more.
Cool. Thank you. I haven’t tried any ecash wallet yet. Haven’t found an easy place to start. Big lightning user at the moment. Very interested in ecash.
