Every time I travel next to masked ones i image what they might think seeing an entire plane of naked faces

“aaaaany day now, you suckers are all going to get COVID and dieeeeeee!!! Muhahahaha!”
Mask wearing is socially acceptable-ish now so people with nasty zits cover up with them.

Maybe they help with anxiety like sunglasses too.

Or they just want to keep humidity in and avoid some of the effects of a dry environment. Planes are awful, comfort-wise, for most people.
 😂😂😂
Frustrated altruism, if only they knew there was a better way to save the world.
Masking early in pandemic was maybe okay, but now it is just anti-science. Social interactions are not bad, they are healthy and actually you get sick less often. Many studies prior to 2019 show this. They just live in a bubble and don't know how to escape. Trapped by irrational fear of germs and propaganda. Really sad to see

I still need to mask in crowded or interior spaces bit I am a risk group and take immunosupressants so pandemics is not reallu over for me. I am grateful at the beginning it was mandatory and now that we know more things have relaxed and honestly I understand, bit I do have to be cautious still.
It is a metal canister pumping recycled air...
I would say the amount of people I’ve seen wearing a mask in airplanes in 2023 is about 1000x more than in 2019.

I can’t but connect that wild delta with the fact that that everybody was forced into masks for months/years.
This is true. There are many countries like Japan where it’s socially much more normal to wear masks on public transit even prior to Covid. I hoped that trend would stick more effectively after Covid in other places. Seems like it has to an extent and I will certainly be more likely to wear a (good) mask if I’m feeling at all sick and flying.
