Statism is a curse on humanity. It's not based on logic or morality, but it's a believe system programmed into our head by propaganda through the news and the education systems owned by the state. Exaggerated by money printing enabled by the fiat system. Humanity will keep going through these cycles of relative prosperity > socialism > authoritarianism > famine / genocide / war > revolution and will suffer all the death, destruction and reduced prosperity that comes with it until we can finally rid ourselves of this toxic believe system. Decentralization is key, the more decentralized options exist , the harder for the goverment to clamp down on personal freedom. It doesn't matter if there is a widespread adoption for them now, the fact that they exist is enough to prohibit the goverment to push to hard, so they to restrain themselves or risk losing control by people adopting faster to these indepent protocols which are not under their control.
