Oddbean new post about login | logout OK, how many posts does a profile need in order for you to follow? Do you like to see a good mix of text and meme posts? I'm setting my bar at 2-3 finger flick scrolls... That should be a good gauge on participation, right?
I like to see at least half the notes being their own thoughts, not a repost or link to something else, but text, meme or photo that is of their creation. If a profile is all reposts after a few finger flicks, or all graphs, I don't follow.
I’ve followed some newbies with only a few posts if they were particularly interesting and satisfied my baseline criteria for following. I don’t mind so much if people post infrequently. It’s a nice surprise when they do show up. I care more about what they say and do when they are here.
