Speaking of comedic horror, The Wolf of Snow Creek is a really good one, though it might be very polarizing. I watched it with several people, we all went in expecting a more conventional horror, some of us were pleasantly surprised by the comedy while others didn't seem to like the clashing tones. Hard to recommend though I found it fascinating.
I mean, the funny part of Mom and Dad is the contrast in tone of the parents trying to kill their kids and acting like it's completely normal. That and Nic Cage being totally unhinged.
What makes Wolf of Snow Creek funny is really just the main police officer character; there's this werewolf going around killing people and the cop is very bad at his job, and he is constantly aware of this fact and very frustrated by it. I can't do it justice here, it's really funny to watch this guy melt down while this other serious horror plot is going on. It could have been just a decent horror film otherwise but this extra dimension to it was very entertaining and intriguing.
