Just deposit on-chain funds, press Open channel and off you go. Or alternatively, purchase an incoming channel from an LSP

 Yes. But you are still not fully immune to force closes; these are part of the LN network and if your channel wants to FC on you, they can - no matter which node you have.

But the recommended channel peers in AlbyHub tend to be pretty good in that regard.
