One of the cool things about Nostr Bitcoin too) is the way in which it connects people around the world. The next president of Suriname is kicking it here with the plebs. The blend of individual freedom and community-aligned objectives is unique in its ability to satisfy the needs of people from all sides of the traditional sociocultural spectrum.

Maya, at the risk of using a superlative, you are one of the most inspiring people I have ever heard speak. I recall seeing one of your posts about a random Bitcoin conference, and learning months later that this “random” nostrich was seeking her country’s presidency 🤯

You have the charisma of a real leader, without the manipulative undertones of other political figures in Bitcoin. Your authenticity shines through, and it’s inspirational to see someone “just fucking go for it” 🔥

Thanks for sharing your story on Walker’s show. Thanks for going to bat for your people and your country, and for bringing all of us bitcoiners and nostriches along for the ride.

As more countries and leaders follow your lead, the borderless nature of Bitcoin will become more and more apparent, as the benefits of sound money and freedom tech lift up the people who embrace it and extend to those who haven’t yet found it.

You’ve got my vote, friend 🤝

So bullish. nostr:note1ecg5u3whpsykkrv6sajwzlhus5w24pys0qkykyrdfz8kmcv9ftcq0a0nm8
 Amen to all that.

Hey, @MeA_BzZz you mentioned looking for an investor for your solar grid/Bitcoin mining initiative in small villages.

Dunno if this would be the right fit, but I recall it being quite interesting when I first heard about it — have you looked into Sun Exchange? I believe they were a sponsor when @markstephany started his podcast, so perhaps Mark could provide some more info, but generally my understanding is that they provide small villages with funding to build out solar infrastructure by tapping into a global network of smaller/individual investors who already understand the Bitcoin ethos.

🧡
Sun exchange is not a viable option at the moment, they were not doing so wellish
Damn, that’s too bad. I was wondering why I hadn’t heard much about them lately
I still get payouts, I am still helped build infrastructure. https://i.nostr.build/MJMiPszNCH8EM0pc.jpg
Interesting! Do you feel it was worthwhile on the “investor” side, in terms of sats stacked per fiat spent?

And as a good cause to support (you said they’re struggling but I don’t know the details) has it been effective in their mission?
As an investor is was not a smart choice. I held currency risk, its located outside my nation, I paid in sats that were 20% down, the payout assumes no issues for decades.

I helped a farm become self sufficient in a nation not nearly as well off as my own. When there was a flood my investment did not generate, and I did not add to any financial strain. I hopefully created more productivity and nutrition for people I will never know.

They are out of the crowd sourced solar and just create projects. Essentially a regular business now.
 Thanks for supporting anyway 🫂🤙🏽
 🫂 of course
