Nostr, what guides do we need for new Nostriches? What's missing or needs better explained?
 Follower counts are meaningless.

Notes are forever until all relays forget, and some never will, even if requested.

Nostr is a means and method not the message. It is more than what you see and can be nearly anything you imagine.
These points are often missed. It gets back to the reasons why social media is broken. I like it.
Yup. It's confusing, since it's not really like anything else that people have ever really used up to this point.

I am not sure I like the word "used" in the above sentence.

Hmmmm...

Nostr is more of an "interaction via" than simply "using..."

Onboarding someone to just "use" Nostr, likely as a social media alternative, is likely to not be as effective to the WHY.

#FOSS and the why IMO is crucial.
Well, we also don't have the greatest onboarding experiences here, but the why Nostr is more important than anything. Once you get it, you realize it's okay to put up with things not being perfect.
 Exactly.

We're building a revolution. Brick by brick. Relay by relay. Node by node.
Hashtags are a good way to find folks to follow:#artstr #tunestr #photography etc. #asknostr for when you have questions.

How being your own algorithm takes time (weeks and months, not days) and your own active participation.

Help set expectations with examples vs. just explaining the protocol.
 Lists don't get enough love.

Adding and creating lists to feeds is not straightforward in clients. It requires a bit of tinkering and exploring with other clients like listr.lol

It's such a fundamental feature of Nostr and a huge improvement over traditional social media.

There are so many types of lists that there are specific event kinds for each one of them. I feel like we can do more to educate new nostriches about this.
I agree here. Having to go to an external website to manage them even in clients that support them is a huge hurdle itself.
 NO ZAP!
relays ... what are they ?
I thought I had a good guide for this though it probably needs updated.
I think choosing relays is a good topic, and maybe a list of the 5 most popular public relays.
We don't want everyone using the same top 5 relays though.
Well then the explanation of relays and types, then some educated info on how to choose them for yourself, things to look for and reasoning.
Is this sufficient or should I his be expanded upon now that we have more types of relays?

That is a pretty solid explanation. I'm not sure of the types would be classified under the relays themselves or a seperate description of the types of content possibilities mentioning each type may have its own relays... I may be over thinking things though... I'm just trying to remember all the questions I've had in the past months
Maybe I'll do a part two and talk about different types. Thanks for the suggestions.
Another I just thought of with npub.pro and all being out there.. The difference between posts and notes and whatever else may be out there I don't know about..lol
 That's a good one.
#Zaps and how to obtain a Lightning/Ecash wallet, to start participating in the zapping circular economy of merit.
A chart broken into experience level & noting regional restrictions would be super handy. And one for signers & compatible devices/browsers
 outbox model
While I do think most people should not need to worry about this as it's a bit technical, it may be interesting to some people. At the end of the day, the outbox model should just work and people shouldn't need to know too much about it.
everybody knows how a car works roughly, even if most don't know in detail or can't build or fix a car
Just fyi... I wrote up a quick amethyst q&a on wikifreedia a couple weeks ago if you want to fork & improve on it
I'd love to see it. Link?

Um jeito de usar nostr como uber?
And turn off every automated account, for every reason!
A visual diagram of nostr, clients, relays, events, and users. And another equivalent visual diagram, but using something symbolic to represent nostr, clients, relays, events, and users which most people can use to more easily wrap their head around nostr.

Like for example showing the relations between concepts like the internet, browser type, websites or highways, cars, fuel type to show the relations between concepts like nostr, clients, relays, etc.
