This weekend I finished the (very) rough draft of my hobby sci-fi novel manuscript.
115k words, 45 chapters, front to back readable.
Written in two months, but thought about for years which made the writing come out faster. It needs a ton of revision work, especially since fiction writing isn't my expertise.
Most people have to edit/revise down their manuscript, but I envision this being filled a bit more to 120k+ words.
For reasons I can't say due to spoilers, the third act was the hardest for me. For most writers, the second act is the hardest, kind of that "meh" middle. My middle was tight and fun and easy to write. But due to a couple nontraditional story structure elements, as well as the most technical action sequence in the story, the third act was *really* hard. But I managed to figure it out and am quite satisfied with it.
Now I have to revise and optimize it all.
GM! ☕ ☀️ 🫂 will be looking forward to it!
Congratulations!!! Can’t wait to read it.
Gm congrats on reaching this milestone! I am very intrigued and look forward to reading it when it’s available. Wondering when the novel takes place temporally…🤔
Good morning 🧡
Congratulations on reaching this milestone, especially in such a short time! 115k words in two months is impressive. I admire the courage to include unconventional structures in the third act; that should make the narrative truly unique!
Really looking forward to reading this. Congratulations on finishing draft 1 😁
I can’t wait to see what you’ve created Lyn!
That's just insane productivity. Well done.
Rewriting is always the tough part. Can’t wait to read it, Lyn!
Congratulations on finishing the rough draft Lyn! 🥳🥳
Hope to read it soon to give you a honest review 💜
The hardest thing I've ever seen a writer do is decide to actually say it's done and release it to the world. Too many times I see them get caught up in revisions. Good luck with the hardest part!
Looking forward to it, Lyn Congrats!
Would be an interesting model to measure global liquidity against bitcoin miner holdings. Marathon sold down to 17,000 bitcoin in the last bear (November 2022) and now holds 10,000 more (27,000) give or take. I think price predictions and market cycles can best be predicted by measuring new supply coming onto the market against liquid dollar supply available for institutional investors to purchase with. Central banks are coordinated and Michael Saylors 42 billion is cute against a bank that can print 1 trillion with a few lines of code in a SQL database. The real market movers are the large miners, Holding and selling is the bitcoin equivalent of the Fed adjustment of interest rates. Thoughts?
Congratulations 🎉 Good Luck with revisions!!
Congrats! And can’t wait to read it.
This is fascinating, can’t wait to read what you are writing. I’m sending a DM !
