Woot. That's not true. https://void.cat/d/5RZJtb8YQrZTd9HVUoXLb4.webp
It can be used with all these, but to unlock your shit it has to talk to a Blockstream server. Your pin isnt stored on the device.
You can run your own blind oracle on a umbrel server.
Do you know how I can spin my own blind oracle?
Here is a link for running your blind oracle on Umbrel. It's early days but it's really cool. You can also run Green to connect with your own node and verify your own transactions very easily. https://help.blockstream.com/hc/en-us/articles/18904765931161-Set-up-a-personal-blind-oracle-with-Umbrel
You can also run it purely as a stateless signing device. You can dislike it but it's not a bad device.
IMHO it's not worth the money & id rather have a Trezor. This is after some thorough testing of normal & outlier scenarios (170+ inputs for ex).
I also have every single HWW I except for the Trezor T. So my opinion is a comparative one.
If I'm already forced to plug the device in or connect it with Bluetooth for a firmware update...id rather just use something that is USB based - works better and doesn't have issues with large inputs.
Yes you can use some features, but why limit yourself? Also the QR scanner is subpar when you have a large amount of inputs even with a tripod. SeedSigner is much much much better and the same price.
Then you have all the issues with Bluetooth, tiny screen, but the battery power is a plus I must admit.
They fixed the problems with Bluetooth. QR reading is still hit or miss
Yeah I meant that having Bluetooth is the problem 🫠
I like having the choice to enable it
You only feel that way bc the QR scanner is sus.
I want to argue but that’s a true statement. After fighting with trying to unlocking with QR after 10 minutes I give up and Bluetooth
So much funding wasted. Wish Blockstream would build on what SeedSigner is doing & scrap the jade.
